Bloom were commissioned to update our Victorian weatherboard in 2008 and Terri was quick to identify opportunities to better use the space we had – she managed to turn a disused living space into an stylish sitting room, complete with fire place, book shelves, plantation shutters and drapes as well as a cosy rug and striking decorative objects.

She also designed an elegant new bathroom for us, which better utilised the space available and for the first time allowed us to install a bath. Other work included designing cabinetry and paint colour/wallpaper schemes for the bedrooms and hallway. Terri was highly skilled in recognising our own tastes and completing a look and feel within budget.

Importantly, she gave us the confidence to step out of our comfort zone and try different colours and design ideas that complemented the Victorian architectural period with a modern classic look.

Bloom turned our house into a place that we love coming home to.

Thank you so much for your work on our new home, and more recently the nursery for the new member of our family.

I fear, had you not become involved when you did, our house would not have reflected our personalities and lifestyle as much as it does. It also probably would have looked bland and boring and a lot like a display home. Nice on the surface, but you probably don’t want to live there permanently.

Instead, we have a home that looks unique, finished, gets lots of compliments from everyone, and more importantly, can accommodate groups of toddlers without damage to anything! Amazing!

I never thought I would hire an interior designer, but you were so easy to work with and I think one of the most valuable parts of the experience was that you had access to suppliers and products that I would never had known existed (and I really love the idea of paying wholesale prices, who knew things were marked up that much?). Plus, there was the fact you have great taste and understanding about what can make rooms feel comfortable and come alive.

I was suffering severe renovator’s fatigue after a 2 year renovation when a mutual friend introduced me to Terri to pull together the last 2 rooms in my house which I didn't have the energy to finish off. I had some things but needed to pull the rooms together. Terri was literally like a breath of fresh air - she arrived with fabrics, ideas colours etc and within an hour we had 75% of a plan to move forward with. She immediately understood what I wanted and made some fantastic suggestions to really make the rooms special. In 2 to 3 visits we had ordered and solved everything. Terri’s strength is her vast knowledge - of fabrics and products, as well as her willingness to listen to the ideas of the client. This saved me so much time and also ensured my rooms got finished. I will definitely use Terri again and would recommend her to others.
